Yes, I personally don't ship at all so I'm not bothered by the arguments either way. Some people however do ship intensely and get defensive about their ships, and while opinion is always subjective, the ship being so close to their heart makes opposing ones seem "wrong", even if there is nothing truly wrong about it. I'm not saying this is a logical reaction, it's just a thing that happens. People feel differently about different things to different degrees.
