Until I was about ... 5ish? ... I was convinced that "my state" was "The State of the Art" because that's the only state I ever heard my parents talking about. Of course, they thought it was SO CUTE when I answered "the state of the art" to the question "where are you from?" that they didn't correct me - and I figured it out with a fantastic moment of embarrassment courtesy of my first-grade teacher.
