See, I WAS used to genderfree Pokémon, and I sort of keep playing like they still are. I tend to give em neutral names, I don't even use moves like attract a lot, nd don't really breed 'em - I tried like once or so. So in general, the genders don't really add much for me.

It doesn't really register with me, either. I breed a bit, but only to get the baby pokemon for the dex or to trade rares. Other than that, I don't keep track.

Same here, sometimes I take note of it but a lot of the time the genders for m pokemon don't register.

In Gen IV I named a Budew Rosa and just assumed it was female for about half the game. When I noticed it was male I felt inexplicably awful, like I'd somehow let it down by not realizing it was a dude sooner.
