I obviously don't mean the "Wolfing down extra chunky fistfuls of their own shit" crazy, but slightly unhinged, troubled, a bit of derangement, a bit of obsession, maybe a bit of Bipolar or some MPD? Oh yes please.
I'm thinking Angelina Jolie in "Girl, Intrupted".
I'm thinking Edward Norton in "Fight Club", (HBC form "Fight Club" also, while we're at it.)
I'm thinkinh Mel Gibson in "Leathal Weapon" (Although not Mel Gibson IRL. There are limits).
I'm thinking Harley Quinn.
None of these people are as hot when they are not insane. It is a fact.
So why is this?

Otherwise, it would be because they are played by attractive actors or actresses, or drawn to be attractive.

Because the actors are playing them as attractive?

Maybe expressiveness is attractive, and they play the kooky characters more expressively. Maybe appearing to know something hidden is attractive to you. Maybe it's just your kink.

I'm pretty crazy in real life. Like, "shout at the moon," crazy. It's not actually that hot.

Maybe lack of inhibition? They're just going to do what they feel like and might tell you random things about themselves without you having to ask and possibly they'll be up for whatever you want to do.
