Fandom Secrets Revisited #2

All secrets in this post were still live when I saved them. If a secret is yours, and you don't want it here, delete it from your hosting site, and leave a comment here (anon if you like). When I've confirmed it's gone from the original secret, I'll delete it from mine. I know that probably seems like a lot of work, but unfortunately, given the anonymous nature of secrets, I can't just take any anon at their word when they say "That was mine, please delete."

But really, wouldn't it be more fun, OPs, if you popped back in with an update? If you've been here from the start, it's been seven years. Do you still feel the same and find it secret-worthy, or has time changed your mind or made the once scandalous seem tame?

The Bordertown series -- it was a collaborative universe. There were a couple of anthologies edited by Terri Windling, Finder by Emma Bull, and Elsewhere and Nevernever by Will Shetterly.

I'll give Paolini this, the final book did surprise me. Murtagh AND Thorn living at the end (<3) Eragon not ending up with Arya and them parting ways. I figured Arya would be the green dragon rider, though. But damn, the way he killed Galby was so silly.

I admit it, I like the Eragon books. The first and the last the best. I mean, they aren't amazing literature or anything. But they are fun. And I'm a sucker for anything with dragons in it. Saphira made it all worth it. Loved her. Eragon himself was rather obnoxious, though.

The ending to the series is what really makes you cry. From frustration.

That ending was some seriously upsetting shit as a kid. I was upset about Rachel and then it just...stopped. Like. UGH. I am getting frustrated all over again.

Is terrible. It's still ongoing. I think they just recently or will soon be putting out the 12th english volume. I'll be buying it sometime since this series is one of my guilty pleasures. :)

I recently re-read some of Earthian and I don't get get why I loved it so much when I was younger. Same with Loveless.

I like this art but I hate the concept of the series and just figured it's not for me because everything I've heard about it sounds like it's one of those skeevy adult/minor vibe series.
