Hmm. Well that just adds another layer of "not for me" to the book.

It makes sense, but Heathcliff would probably still have been considered lowborn, even if he was Mr. Earnshaw's son.

I just felt a huge sigh of relief from the book when Heathcliff died in the end. It seemed as though everything could be as it should have been from the start, with Catherine Jr. and Hareton together.
