My favorite is spring. The weather is moderate, but getting warmer rather than colder. The days get longer. You can gradually start wearing less heavy clothing. The flowers are pretty, and it's always nice to find the first crocus or daffodil blooming, or see the little sprouts poking up out of the snow. I associate it with happy feelings, because when I was a kid, school was winding down, and it felt like at the same time that the new year was beginning, the dreary and stressful parts of the old one were ending.

Fall has moderate weather too, but I always get depressed and I associate it with school starting and all the accompanying stress and anxiety. Plus everyone else loves it so by July everyone is going on and on about how they can't wait for fall while I'm just trying to forget that it's coming. Like if people went on about how they couldn't wait til Monday came every Saturday evening. So overrated, fall.

I love fall but I'll spare you the rhapsodizing that you're sick of. :)

I hate summer. I have eczema that's really sensitive to heat and sweat so summer is awful unless I take enough cool showers all the time. Plus I would just much rather be cold than hot. A blast of cold air is one of the best things for my anxiety sometimes when it starts to get really physical while heat makes me feel sick.

Oh, if there is one thing I like about fall, it's the weather cooling down. I don't do well with extreme heat.

If not for the anxious and depressed feelings, I get, and the way the year is structured for people (like in terms of school and holidays... does that make sense?) I'd probably put fall ahead of summer.

I like the idea of summer. I always start thinking about beaches and tropical vacations and endless fun and freedom, but in reality I don't get to do many fun things and it's just the usual plus heat and humidity. Still, the lack of school was always fun as a kid.

I can definitely understand the anxiety you get around fall even though I don't get it myself. I seem to be more optimistic than I would have ever believed. I just love new beginnings. They make me so hopeful. So right now I'm looking forward to classes starting soon even though I'll probably be getting incredibly stressed out by the time winter gets close.

I'm split between fall and winter.

I like summer in theory, but it gets super muggy where I live.

Autumn -- because that's when I get the house all to myself again for the big chunks of the day when my kids are in school.

(I hate summer, but I live in a place where it's pretty much hellishly hot all year 'round.)

Summer is my favourite because I love wearing summer clothes and walking around in the sun. My least favourite currently is a tie between fall and winter because all it does is rain all the damn time where I live (sometimes we'll get snow in winter but it's not common). And it's the cold, drizzly sort of rain I hate and it dampens my mood.

Summer, though I prefer late summer when the light is already different and the colours are changing and you smell autumn in the air. I hate rain and cold, though.

Autumn is my favourite. The days getting shorter is a bit off-putting, it always seems to hit me all at once, but aside from that autumn where I live has the best weather, and the most perfect skies. It always feels like a fey sort of season, such a visible turning point with the leaves falling and the skies changing and the days shortening, with the winds rising more often after what's usually a fairly dead heat for a lot of the summer. For a season that's often focused on fading and decay, it makes me feel more like moving and changing and being active than any other.

My worst season is summer. I don't react very well to heat, and summers here generally make me feel tired and oppressed. I like the amount of light summer brings, especially in the evenings, but mostly I just want the sun to go away and hide for a while already so I can actually move again without feeling like it's trying to flatten me from on high.

Spring is least favorite, the others are tied for favorite.

Summer I love because it stays light so long and it's warm so I get to do more stuff outside. Also, Fourth of July and cookouts.

Fall I like because by the time it gets here I'm tired of the heat. The leaves change to pretty colors, there's pumpkin-flavored stuff everywhere, I can make chili and wear sweaters, and because of Halloween there's more horror/ghost themed entertainment out. Also Thanksgiving.

Winter I like because I can spend weekends and off days buried under blankets reading or watching movies, snow days, hot chocolate, Christmas.

Spring is just...there. It's not yet light late enough to do things outside after work, and it's not warm enough yet to do much outside, either. "Spring" here is usually still fairly cold (it's been known to snow) and by the time it gets here I'm so over winter that I just want summer to get here and spring seems to drag on and on and it just annoys me. Plus there are no fun holidays or traditions or anything.

In order:

Fall, spring, winter, summer.

The gross drippy dead mess that was an excuse for fall and winter and spring for the last 5 years I call not-summer. It's awful, it's miserable, it's not a real season, just the absence of summer, and I still rate it above summer.

Most favourite: summer, even when it's pretty hot.

Least favourite: winter, but that's because I get cold really easily and I hate being really cold over being really hot.

Summer, fall, spring, winter. But I don't hate any hardcore. I'm fortunate to live in a moderate area.

Least favorite: winter. Cold makes my back hurt.

Favorite: Summer. Bring on the heat!

Cold doesn't make my back hurt, but it does make me all-around miserable. >:(

I find heat makes me notice pain more. I can handle a lot more back pain with cold than I can when I'm hot and sweaty.

I actually like all the seasons... when they act like the season they're supposed to be. This year has just sucked for seasons. Too icy winter that spilled well into spring, a summer that wants to be October. Fuck that. I want my southern heat back, lingering until mid-September. Then I don't mind if the drier air and cooler temps set in.

Favorite = summer. Least favorite = winter. I'm a reptile.

Spring and fall are both really bittersweet for me right now - especially fall. I used to love the changes that came with these seasons, but now I miss some of the happy things they used to be associated with. Still, they are beautiful (especially spring).

My most favorite is fall. I love the cooler days, the way the light changes, and the snap in the air.

Least favorite is summer. I hate the heat - it gives me migraines.

It's hard to decide between spring and winter. The bitter cold can get miserable if it drags on too long, but I love snow.

Fall is my favorite. Crisp air, multi-colored leaves, rain, the smell of wet leaves and wood smoke, pumpkin flavored coffee, Halloween.

My least favorite is winter. I like cool, don't like cold, or snow, or ice. No thanks!

Summer is the best season. I love when it's hot out and the days are long. Everything just feels easier.

Winter is the absolute worst, oh God I hate it so much. I've already started to dread it getting cold again. I hate being cold. I hate getting snowed on and having my windshield wipers gradually stop working right the way they do every single fucking time. I hate having to drive in snow and sleet and over ice. I hate driving around tons of fucking morons who seem to think they "know how to drive in the snow" but are basically begging for an accident all the time. (Minneapolis/St. Paul, I am looking at you. Fuck all y'all.) I hate having to obsessively check the weather and try to plan around winter storms. I hate being in winter storms and having to decide if it is bad enough for me to stop driving or not. I hate having to pick up chains to go over mountains and hope that I will not have to use them the entire time. I hate getting stuck on top of a mountain in Nevada for two and a half days. Hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate. It's five months of nonstop stress.

Favorite: Fall. I love the cool weather. I much prefer cool to hot, and Fall is nice and cool without being freezing. Also, the leaves are so pretty. And I love fall colors and clothes best.

Spring: Allergy season for me. And I"m not a flower person. And I hate spring colors. And by the end it is usually too hot for me. And also, way too rainy.

Summer is my favorite; I love long days when it's light at 5 a.m. and still not full dark at 9 p.m.; sweet corn on the grill, ice-cold watermelon, annual flowers, water ice, summer dresses; love summer thunderstorms and really hot days when it's 90 degrees in the shade.

I hate winter and the cold and dark.

Favourite: Cheating slightly, but late spring/early summer (so November-December in Australia). It's warm, there's flowers everywhere, all the best foods are in seasons (MANGOES, peaches, apricots, cherries, tomatoes, asparagus, corn!), it's light, and it also has my birthday AND Christmas and New Year.

Least favourite: WINTER. Fuck the cold. Only five and a bit days until spring oh god oh god I cannot wait.
