I have a lot of followers on tumblr. I do my best to stay clear of fandom drama.
A few months ago, fandom drama found me, and it was awful. Basically, a bunch of BNFs in my fandom had an issue with my favorite character and had noticed my blog getting attention, so they started this little hate campaign against me. It was not fun.
After that, I've been even more careful about what I post, but sometimes I feel like I shouldn't be so afraid. I have a collection of opinionated posts in my drafts (not even offensive opinions, just basic meta) but I'm too afraid to post any of them.

Idk, should I be so anxious?

It's natural to be anxious. But don't let some self-important BNFs looking for drama censure you or your opinion. Put it out there, let the chips fall. You'd be surprised how many people would no doubt agree with you.

I closed my anon box for a while after I got a trickle of anon hate. I dunno if that is an option for you with an RP blog.

Post them! And tag your posts, too. Hiding things and disappearing tells them that their bullying is effective and valued. Don't let that fly.

I had an incident a while ago where a couple of people were obsessively stalking my blog and linking out/dissecting every little thing I said. For a while I stopped posting anything they'd pick up on, almost left altogether. Then I realized sticking around and posting gave me enjoyment with the fun side effect of pissing off crazy haters. So I went back to it, and they gave up. (I hope.)

Turn off anon, that will stop a lot of them. If they do send you asks, ignore them unless they say something that the Tumblr hivemind would hate (like them telling you to kill yourself). In which case, you can publish it to turn other people on them. Though if you do this, it will get you a lot of attention.

And post what you want. Don't let a bunch of Tumblr babies ruin your good time.

+1 Especially to turn off anon. You'd be surprised how much tumblr hate doesn't happen when you never have anon on.

Post all of them. Disable anon comments if you have to cause it gets too thick, block who you need to block. Your not in this to censor yourself, your in this to say whatever the fuck you want on your tumblr. I think policing your site if it comes to that is still better then policing yourself.

It's normal to be anxious, I think. But if you were to step back and look at the worst case scenario you're afraid of... well, how bad is it? Will people (most of whom are strangers) have a poor opinion of you? You might have to scrap your identity and start over, that's a pain.

If you decide to make those posts, do yourself a favor and either turn off asks completely or at least turn off anon. Also seriously consider turning off dash notification for comments so they don't show up where you can see them. And please, don't reply to hateful stuff in public, it'll just fan the flames as well as alienate all the non-haters who dislike drama.
