This made me smile. To me, as pleasingly slashy as a lot of their interactions are, I just want them to be... like, close forever. I mean, they both had SOs, but then you can just imagine two couples/families that will always sort of be in each others' pockets, and that's also a really lovely image.

I always thought that to believe Julian and Noel were really fucking, and not just really close friends who liked physical contact, was doing both of them a disservice. They of all men wouldn't care if others thought they were gay. Noel (the little attention seeker) was open about his experimentation with other men, so why wouldn't he say if he were with Julian?

Their friendship was really touching, though. It still makes me feel warm inside to see pictures of the two of them.

I've never had what the two of them had together with someone who wasn't also my sexual partner. It looked amazing, although at times no doubt frustrating. They really were chalk and cheese bound up by a similar sense of humour.
