Good news/bad news

(Anonymous) 2014-08-28 12:03 am (UTC)(link)
Good news: Our Jack Russell's leg is recovering beautifully from his knee surgery two weeks ago, and his sunny disposition hasn't faltered.

Bad news: His digestive tract isn't doing as well as the rest of him. Now he's on a whole slew of fun new medications for colitis, and he can only eat ground beef and rice until it clears up. Not that he seems to mind that second part.

How about you, F!S? What are you having mixed reactions to?

I hope your dog will be OK soon, OP!

Good news: My best friend is back home from spending a summer in Tennessee! I'm going to get to see him tomorrow! We might go to Ikea!

Bad news: I have a cold that just won't leave! It's mostly cleared up but I'm still having coughing fits that are making my throat sore! I'm so tired of taking medicine and coughing!

Bad News: I didn't have the courage to ring up the current adviser of my juco newspaper staff to see if they'd be interested in meeting an alum who's had a variety of good internships and now works full-time in the field, which means I also don't think I'll be going to the home-opening football game, as they were my plan to have someone to sit near during it.

Good News: That's money I don't really have that I don't have to spend, and I get to enjoy a lengthy vacation at home instead of traveling halfway across the state.

You live in KC? Juco is a good school. Wish I'd not dicked around so much there.

Good news: I got a lot of work done today at school and I had blueberry pancakes for lunch.
Bad news: I slipped on the stairs coming home and did something to my back. It has been spasming for the last two and a half hours. And my tendonitis is still acting up.

Good news: I had some eucalyptus Epsom salts in the closet.
Bad news: The water in my bath ended up just being lukewarm.

Good news: Fall is coming soon.
Bad news: It was in the 90s today and my air conditioner wasn't working.

No good/bad news, but I'm just here to say I'm happy your doggy recovered from the surgery at least.

:( Ugh, I'm glad your dogs surgery went well and that his leg seems to be healing properly, but poor guy! Hopefully he isn't going to need to take those meds for too long? Good luck with everything! In the meantime maybe he won't get tired of the ground beef and rice.

The only thing I can think of for this thread is that
Good news: I've lost a ridiculous amount of weight and have more energy.

Bad news: I now have even fewer boobs, and the clothes I bought 2, 2+ months ago are now a size larger then they need to be. But like...I had no clothes that weren't falling off my frame, I needed new clothes. So I have like two shirts that fit the way I want, and am really frustrated. I'm just going to keep wearing everything though; I'm afraid of buying anything new now. (It's hard though, with my new-found ability to find clothing that I actually like the look of and can fit in.)
