I don't have any useful survival skills, but I'm a Type 1 diabetic so it's kind of a moot point. If it turns out to be one of those dreary realistic apocalypses, I'll shoot myself. If it's one of those badass ones full of crazy mutants and raiders, I'll take some bad guys down first. Maybe garrote a few with my insulin pump's cord.

I haven't actually read the novel, but I can't imagine I'd be worth keeping alive to that degree.
