This is the reason why I can't relate to people complaining about how technology x or y prevents people from having meaningful relationships with the natural world or whatever it is. Because if I didn't have my glasses, an artificial technological enhancement, I would fall into a ditch and die almost immediately, no more relationships to be had anywhere.


And actually, part of the reason I never got contacts is the thought that they would fail pretty fast if I ever got stuck in the wilderness for more than a couple of days. At least with glasses I have a fighting chance.

Yeah, anyone who complains about modern technologies being "unnatural" should be banned from having antibiotics until they repent. Even better, banned from the internet.

Agreed.

Hell, my husband would have died at birth. Even if, by some miracle, he had survived, he would have been practically blind without glasses.
