I actually have very little contact wit them except for things like birthdays or major holidays. They're alright, as in they don't really bother me, but we're not close.

His dad started a new family, and has two little kids, and I do not have much interest in getting involved with that.

I think they are bothered by the fact I won't be giving them any grandkids, especially the mom, but such is life.

My bf also has a really "young" family - example:the age difference between my bf and his mom, is the same as between his mom and my dad - so I don't really see them as parental figures at all.

But then, the likelihood of us actually marrying is pretty small, so legally they're not anything to me.
