Those were the first videos of him I found as well; It's a pity I don't recognize half of what he plays, because he has a great voice.

Aw, I like Markiplier too, although his latest videos have been much louder and sillier. I don't remember his earlier stuff being so overly dramatic.

...I still love him though. Particularly when he sincerely laughs. He's got one of those nice deep chuckles. ;3;

I don't think I've ever watched any of his stuff but now that you mention him crying I'm curious. I love watching those kind of intense reactions to games.

Wow, he's really freaked out! Beautiful. I love seeing people get the shit scared out of them. Maybe it makes me feel better about being scared in games myself, idk. (Though this one doesn't seem that frightening, the atmosphere is probably a lot more intense when you're playing. Still, it seems kind of uneventful so maybe I'll watch him play a different game. He has a lovely voice; the secret maker was right about that!)

Thanks!
Edited (Oh, the secret maker didn't mention his voice... Well, whatever, he still has a hot voice.) 2014-08-29 02:31 (UTC)

It really doesn't look like much, but the thing about Vanish that makes it so scary for people seems to be that it's a randomly generated maze sort of thing, so you can't just figure out a good route past the molemen or whatever they are. It just goes on and on until you find the doorway out. No way am I ever playing it, lol. I recommend his Outlast LP. Absolutely agree about the voice.

I think the randomly generated maze would be way too frustrating for me tbh, and it seems like there isn't much you can do to save yourself after you run into the moleman. I would probably give up after dying a couple times...

I might watch his Outlast LP, now that you mention it. I would never play Outlast, but I have watched a play-through or two of it and find the story + everyone's reactions amazing.

Fuck YouTubers.

I would be happy to fuck this particular youtuber. But he needs to talk the whole time.

I love Markiplier. He's cute and handsome but also an enormous dork. Not the most pro of gamers but it just lets me identify with his vids more lol. I like his entheusiasm.

It's not shallow to enjoy watching entertaining, attractive people do stuff you're not personally into. Or if it is, who cares anyway, lol. I'm wimpy about horror games, too, but I'll probably have to attempt Outlast at some point, after watching him and like 50 other people play it. Doesn't matter that I know where all the big scares are, the atmosphere is amazing. I'll even watch them in languages I don't speak, just for different reactions. It's the setting more than anything, but I think he was the first one I watched go through it, and it's very inspirational to watch a hot dude traverse a freaky hellhouse armed only with his wits, haha. He had the best reaction to the [bizarre gore tableau] in the DLC. "Holy fucking fucker fuck!"

Those are all the reasons I watch him, too, OP, nothing shallow about it. If it was about the games, I'd go find Let's Plays with no dialogue or facecams (which I do for certain games). I'll watch Markiplier doing just about anything, dancing with fish (he does that), punching watermelons (he does that, too), doesn't matter.

don't feel shame in being a markiplier fan for whatever reason, he's one of the better LPers out there. he's a sweetie, appreciative of his fans, always doing charity streams and etc. the fact that he's ridiculously cute and has a great voice is a bonus.
