I don't get how people can call you a homophobe for shipping het pairings, especially CANON het pairings (Hiei/Mukuro is vaguely canon, it's up for debate, but Yusuke/Keiko? SO canon.) That's like calling Togashi a homophobe, it doesn't make sense.

And I think I'm the only Hiei/Kurama shipper that likes Hiei/Mukuro too, and I get a lot of crap about that from my friends. It's just so hard to find good in-character fics about them.

Not the only one! I LOVE Hiei/Kurama, but Mukuro/Hiei is one of my favourite pairings as well.

THANK YOU. I love the dynamic between Hiei and Mukuro, and besides, Mukuro kicks so much ass! She divides space, how can you hate her? I think that if Hiei were to be shipped with a female, she would have to be as, if not more, powerful than him. I hate when authors use her as an OOC excuse to keep their Hiei/Kurama OTPFOREVAR apart.

Mukuro is a strong female who was willing to sacrifice beauty over personal freedom and while she had a really bad life, instead of whining about it she made something of herself. She is a very admirable character, and I really think she gave Hiei someone who could understand him. Lawl, and yeah, Hiei NEEDS a woman who can top his ass. XD

In short: I completely agree with everything you said.

I'm late to the party on this one, but I defintely ship Hiei with Mukuro and with Kurama. Although I may go so far as to claim HieixMukuro replaced Hiei/Kurama for me... That's still up to debate, since I like them both.

Heh. I so know who you are (it was a toss up between 2 people, but the context of your writing let me know which one you were).

Some K/H fans scare me, especially the ones who think that they're Hiei's girlfriend/wife/etc... *shrug* I might be completely obsessed with them, but I do know the limits of reality and canon. Besides, some of the best Hiei/Kurama, Hiei/Mukuro stories out there are the ones where Kurama and Mukuro have a battle of wits. A well-characterized Mukuro is beautiful and rare.

I just don't get the hatred on fanfic in general. People write what they write, get over it.
