9. Let's face it, sexuality is up there with abortion as one of THE wankiest topics on the internet and that's not gonna be changing anytime soon. D: I just think people have the right to call themselves whatever they want if it's what THEY feel without the Sexuality Police going "Stop! You're not a True Lesbian unless you've masturbated over a real-life woman, made out with a woman, or would be totally comfortable with being molested by a girl in Real Life! Mine too. That was one of the first stories in which I encountered class differences and child labor.

Of course not. All that stuff about class differences and child labor (and slavery, prejudice, war, death, poverty...) is just so depressing. What girl would want to read about that when she could be amassing a large wardrobe of fashionable doll clothes instead?

Total agreement about that there. I read/write yaoi and have never thought about me being with man sexually before (and never will) but that doesn't make me any less of a lesbian in real life. I get second guessed enough by my own family in real life enough to not tolerate when that happens over fictional characters. -_-

A couple of yaoi authors I utterly adore are a lesbian couple who've been together for years. I don't question it - they like watching guys instead of being with them.
