25. YES. Hell, I remember when *Felicity* was the New Girl and I wasn't sure if I should let her books share space with Kirsten, Samantha, and Molly. I think I still have my girl-sized Molly tapdance outfit packed away in a box somewhere. (Side note-- I always wanted to reach through the page and smack Molly for sleeping with her hair in wet pincurls every night and making herself sick! Who cared what her hair looked like for rehearsal!?)

Also, the Samantha book where she busted Nellie and her sisters out of the orphanage and hid them in her attic was SO AWESOME.

ME TOO. I was glad they cut that bit out of the movie. I know it's realistic and all that the heroine suffers, but it was such an eye-roller cause she worked SO HARD only to screw herself over cause she was worried about her hair. Why not simply wear her hair down for rehearsal, then curl it the night before the big production?

Oh, well. She wasn't 10 years old for nothing, and kids make mistakes.

Me too! Technically, I still have her, tucked away in her bed-in-a-trunk. She's somewhat worse the wear, having suffered my attempts at playing "beauty shop" on her. I thought about sending her into the doll hospital to have her head replaced, but never did do it.

I liked blondes back then, lol. But then they came out with Kit, with her short hair and freckles, and that annoyed me. She had cuter clothes, too.

I got into the books right around when Felicity was first introduced, too. As a kid, I always said that Kirsten was my favorite, but really I just liked her because she was a blonde.

That's also what loved about the books, that the girls faced consequences for changing themselves. Those girls were real.

And Samantha saving Nellie was awesome. I never cared for her much before that, but that was amazing. Those types of things are what I want my (rhetorical) little girl to grow up with someday, not beauty contests.
