(Anonymous) 2007-12-10 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)6. No, I wasn't in the beginning. A friend of mine did become a mod eventually, but I had good contact and quick responses before this. In most games, in fact, I contact the mods after I join.
Old mods sucked in getting back to people, in my opinion. Only /one/ of them was actually looking at the mails, reading suggestions and the others never bothered for messages sent weeks ago. Several of those were mine or some people I knew. There was d0rama due to this conflict of mod permission.
