Are you receiving adequate treatment for your IBS? It sounds like it might be time to talk to your specialist if you don't have it under control.

I try to eat less but can't always do that. It's rarely this bad though and it should abate for the winter soon (I have less problems with compulsion in fall and winter, including eating and hair pulling)

I was referring to your IBD symptoms. If you're having frequent pain, loose bowel movements, cramping and whatnot that are resistant to whatever treatment you're on, it's probably time to see your GI specialist about medication options or surgery.

Leaving that sort of thing untreated or undertreated is a recipe for bowel cancer, and that is really something you don't want.

My doctor knows about it, hasn't expressed any worries. It's not all that frequent, maybe every two weeks at the absolute most. Used to be every week and always bad, now it's rarer and usually goes away fast. I'll ask again though.

Yeah, I'd do that. If it's flaring up that frequently and without any longer periods of remission then it might be time to think about different dosages of medication to control it a little better.

Eat a pill against spasms. Eat some charocal. Do breathing exersize, maybe while lying on your side or on your hands and knees. Check out food allergies. Drink some camomille tea. Eat a pill against bloating. And, the main one, stay optimistic! =)
That's all I got, sorry . -_- My thoughts are with you.
