I'm not an epilepsy expert, but I'm pretty sure in some cases it can cause hallucinations, which makes the fact it gives you ideas not surprising.
There's nothing wrong with that OP, that's some serious lemonade made out of the lemons you have :)

Not entirely accurate, actually. If you are talking about a mild sensory or visual effect from (low) seizure activity it's called an aura. It's distinctly different from your average hallucination.

And hallucinations in themselves don't really have to be creatively inspiring. Some are actually pretty boring.
