Ha... I am a Firefly fan, but while I do wish it had been given two seasons, having now seen all of Joss Whedon's shows and heard where they'd considered going with Firefly, I'm actually glad it got cancelled.

I wish it had got one and a half seasons. First season to run out of ideas and second season to sputter out and get cancelled in ignominy so the browncoats were so disillusioned they never mentioned it ever again. That was the trajectory it was on, it was already running out of steam by the end of the filmed DVD episodes.

I would bring back Firefly, with a somewhat new cast--if I could run it myself and rein in some of the Whedon excesses.

Yeah, nonnie means "OMG Firefly fans are so annoying and I hate the fans." I know some Firefly fans are, but let people enjoy things.

Yeah, well, for years the Browncoats wouldn't let anyone else enjoy their fandoms without busting in and running it down by saying it was shit compared to Firefly or saying Joss Whedon would have done it better, or that Nathan "donut-pigger" Fillion ought to be cast as the male lead and how River "Joss's Masturbation Fantasy" Tam was better than the female lead of the other fandom; or that the other fandom, even if pre-dated, Firefuck, was a total rip off and that the fans would only be real fans if they acknowledged that.

You know what; if Firefly fans are now getting sick of people crit-ing them, then GOOD! Because they acted like an Irish mob for years, breaking into other fandoms and busting up the stuff in there, getting their shit all over it, and insulting the fans there already. If the Browncoats start feelling a tenth of that coming back there way, and finally develop the humility to pull their horns back in, then that can only be a good thing.
