That's what I mean about seeing where some people might be coming from: most female pop musicians' songs place them as an object of or recipient for sex. Nicki Minaj does get a distinction that in most of her songs (or at least the ones I've heard), she is a sexual agent, and often pits men as sexual objects. So I can see where some Tumblr feminists might be coming from. I don't agree with it (again, ignores rest of her career), but I can see their perspective and why they might be latching onto her. *shrugs* It makes sense once I think about it, I just didn't know that they actually had done so, so it caught me off guard.
