Middle schoolers babysit, for starters, but they also roam NYC alone and stuff. (Although no one really seems to use babysitters anymore IRL, so that may be where my disbelief that twelve year olds would comes from. The recession pretty much knocked that industry.)

why is that? I'm getting fed up with babies in movie theaters and three year olds in bars.
