My stories for big bangs are always popular and well-liked after the reveals, but none of the good artists claim them in the beginning (even though I've had more than one artist telling me they wished they had claimed them.) It gets you down after a while even if it's inevitable; there are maybe two or three good artists in any big bang, and they can't claim everyone.

Now I just write longer stories and get art as a gift or commission it, and that's worked out much better for everyone probably.
