For me it's that I haven't seen my boyfriend for two months, and have one month to go before I get back to the right country. homg so much want! No idea how to survive until October!

To be finished with my current project at work. I appreciate the overtime, honestly, but 5 am to 8 pm shifts are killing me. Fortunately I only have a week left before my deadline, so it'll be done one way or another.

The washer and dryer I need without getting buttfuckingly ripped off.

Wool blankets.

Dresser drawers.

Those replacements parts for what got damaged in the box so I can put together my computer desk.

A fucking good night's sleep. Repeatedly.

Good friends who genuinely give a shit about me and aren't all about trying to change me and accept me for who I am.

Somebody on my side.

Way too much want, I know.

I also want some decent salmon. The garbage they sell at the store is either fake, from China, or farm-raised and dyed pink. Or missing its skin. Doesn't any place sell halfway decent Atlantic/Alaskan salmon?

Oh yeah, and I want the hair on my head to fully grow back.

And for my mother to fucking get a life, get a boyfriend or some good friends and leave me the fuck alone and stop bothering me every two seconds for stupid shit she can fix on her own, or guilting me into not visiting her more often, or always telling me which relatives of mine aren't going to be around forever so I'd better call them, or trying to use me to satisfy her emotional needs/loneliness, or constantly implying I'm a bad person whose soul she's trying to save because I don't go to church every Sunday and "give myself to the Lord" everyday.

Sorry for jacking your thread. I should probably want a better way of venting these things too.

Hey, sounds like you have a lot of shit going on and I'm sorry to hear it.

As for the washer/dryer: is getting the second-hand an option. Maybe even look if there are some freecycle groups in your area? I got some stuff (like a small vaccuum cleaner) like that now that I'm unemployed. Sometimes people get rid of stuff that still works but isn't "modern" anymore. I have a friend who just sold a perfectly working washing machine for like 40 euro. Same for the dresser drawer.

It's not fancy, but hell, there ain't no shame in it.

...I suddenly feel oddly privileged. Living in the Pacific NW, I can ALWAYS get some decent salmon; it's just kind of around. I guess I hadn't realized how difficult it was to get elsewhere. Good luck, anon; I know how important good salmon is.
