Richard also never had an actual "girlfriend" that we know of. There's a woman he used to live with when he was younger that is sometimes referred to as his ex, but the status was never confirmed.

So, yeah, a guy in his 40s, with no history of girlfriends... While not unusual for celebrities who are extremely private, on top of everything else that's been going on in connection with Lee, it kinda stands out.

I don't care whether he's gay or not, I love him either way, but it's interesting that fangirls who are desperate for Richard to be heterosexual, always point out that old interview where he says he lost his virginity to a girl at some camp when he was like 12 or something. Whenever another RichLee rumour pops up, Tumblr is full of the "BUT HE LOST IT TO A GIRL!" argument, and not just coming from naive teens and preteens but older women, too.

Except that camp story doesn't prove he's into women. He's said it himself he felt pressured into losing his virginity because it was such a HUGE deal in his friends group/class.

Some also cling to the hope he's bi but I personaly don't think so.

Gosh I have no idea where I got the idea that he was married, dumb assumptions I suppose.

Oh well I just hope he's happy whatever his orinenration is.

You got the idea that Richard Armitage is married because he basically is. According to google, Richard Armitage has a long term partner named Annabel, who is a woman.

...Google says that he has a long term partner, a woman named Annabel. Admittedly, I suck with actor names/faces, which is why I had to google him in the first place, but I expect wikipedia and google to be on top of this pop culture stuff. (Because otherwise, I'm going to be totally lost.)

Stating it twice doesn't make him anymore hetero, y'know. I swear if someone went outta their way to post that Armitage was gay, gay, gay in the most obscure, deepest, darkest depths of the Internet, 2 seconds later there'd be a 'he's totally straight, because111!!!', rebuttal.

I had to look the guy up on google to know who you were talking about. It's a safe bet that his preferences/life style choices aren't particularly important to me one way or the other.

But a long, elaborate rant about second and third hand info regarding his dating life, your personal opinions on it, and your investment in his orientation/dating doesn't give you the same claim to disinterested info gathering. Nor does it nullify the existence of his partner... that google and wikipedia both agree that she exists... or that she's a woman.

Considering the above post is my first on the delightfully titillating subject of Armitage's dance partners, you're aiming you over-invested cannons in the wrong direction. He's hot and talented and gay, like any other actor who claims, as he did, that his sexual orientation is irrelevant to his art. But please carry on your incoherent protestations, it's most entertaining.

Look, I'm not sure why you're so invested in me agreeing with you (or how/why you'd think I keep track of and count your posting topics) - but I won't. Google says one thing. You're (incredibly, rudely) invested in the opposite position. Of the two of you, Google is the more reliable source.

I hope you can see why I'm going to trust Google's opinion over yours.

At least now we get to look forward to "The Hobbit" ending and the bafflement of fans when Richard/Lee go their separate ways!

I'm pretty baffled at the moment. I've never waded into the RPS waters before. I had no idea that it was anything like this.

Confession: I actually bookmark all the pages of my submitted secrets. I'm not even sure why!

No, neither actor has become engaged or anything, but The Hobbit promotion wrapped up and they both moved onto other projects, just as predicted. I've glanced over a few of the fan-sites and Tumblr tags and they haven't been updated in over eight months.

I believe the CrissColfer and 1 Direction RPFs are fizzling out too, so it's probably only a matter of time before a new pair of white dudes become the new "I'm one hundred percent SURE it's for real this time!" power couple. Ah, fandom.
