Movie Reviewers

Who are your favorites? Preferably with a funny tone and in video format - but written is fine too.

Don't have any -- wouldn't even be able to name a single one, sorry.

I dig Jeremy Jahns. Yes, he's funny and energetic.

Wesley Morris and Eileen Jones are the only ones I really like enough to remember. And I'm not sure Eileen Jones actually does reviews anymore, and neither of them really do the Youtube Movie Reviews thing (I think Morris has a video podcast on youtube though).

I don't have a favorite. I like to go to Rotten Tomatoes and get the general sense of how critics feel about a movie. Then I'll select a few different reviews with different perspectives to read.

Film Brain's Projector reviews are pretty good. I like him mostly because I trust his judgement, though what he reviews is pretty eclectic and he doesn't do big blockbuster movies too often.

I agree.

Oancitizen is the only reviewer I'm always really excited to see a new video from. I watch some other people, but I can always go days/weeks without watching their newest stuff. If Kyle has a new review, I'm watching it the second I have the time.

Well my favorite is Half in the Bag, but they aren't funny in the same way the people from That Guy With The Glasses are funny if that's what you meant by funny.

The Read It and Weep podcast. It's more of a 'making fun of bad movies and other media' show, but it is really funny, and they've been known to do a few guilty pleasures as well.

I don't think they'd regard themselves as "professionals" but I love watching Brad Jones and his Snob crew do their Midnight Reviews. I don't always agree with their opinions, but I do love hearing what they have to say about a film. I can always count on loving Dave and Brian talk about Tyler Perry movies.

I also really enjoy Doug Walker's reviews. His Nostalgia Critic videos are all right, I still like them, but his actual just him reviewing a film videos I really enjoy. I really like how he expresses what he thinks of a film, but is willing to admit that if he doesn't like something it shouldn't make anyone else feel bad or stupid or anything like that if they liked something he didn't.

yeah, I miss them too. I got to meet Roger Ebert and we had an interesting conversation about Buster Keaton.
