No Harry Potter 8, please. I'd love a spinoff, incidentally, I'm really looking forward to the New Scamander movies, but I hate the idea of seeing Harry written as an adult. Archie Comics and the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants adult sequel already ruined my childhood/teenhood...

My first anime was remade into a direct-to-video CGI cartoon.

Vic Mignogna sang the theme song.

So basically my biggest dread already came true. (To be fair, it's Superbook, it's not THAT good of a show, really...)

Near Dark.

Yeah, a vampire movie I watched as a kid. Okay, a messed up horror loving kid. That movie was magic in a bottle. I don't want to see it remade. And every year rumors pop up that a remake is in the works. No. Just no.

That movie, along with Lost Boys, spawned my love of vampire movies. neither one needs to be remade!

Even the idea of a Lost Boys remake being considered is beyond horrifying. It wouldn't work. That movie is pure 80's cheesiness.

Yes, all of this. Both are perfect and need to be kept in a vault somewhere away from Hollywood executives.

I'm kinda dreading Gundam Wing's 20th anniversary next year because if Sunrise does anything for it all, it would most likely be Frozen Teardrop related, maybe an anime. Which would be fucking terrible.

On the other hand, I'd kill for an Episode Zero OVA.

The Last Unicorn. I know there's talk of remaking it in live action but nothing has come of it. I have my doubts it could be done well.

*growing sense of uneasy horror* Please tell me you're joking. There's just so many reasons why that's a bad idea.

Ghostbusters. There's no way to improve on the original, so please don't try. Make your own comedic ghost fighting property if you must (I love the Frighteners, too) but you're not gonna be able to do justice to the original.

And I usually hate it when people take this stance, too

I'm a Disney fan. Everything from my childhood already got a direct-to-DVD sequel.

At least the Aladdin ones were good. For that, I can forgive Disney.

I loved the one about the thieves.

Aladdin and The King of Thieves is easily the best one. My favorite by far. It is so good.

I am really dreading the Man From U.N.C.L.E. movie. really, really dreading it after seeing what happened to Wild Wild West and Starsky and Hutch.

I think it would be awful if The X-Files were remade. Granted, I liked Fringe a lot and it's pretty close to that, but yeah no. I have to have my Scully, Mulder, Skinner, CSM, Krycek and, yeah, the cheesy nineties paranormal goodness.

GI Joe. It's already happened a couple of times. :(
