They mean that he isn't a raging bigot and sometimes talks about social issues that might shocks of shocks effect him. He's not a 'SJW'. He's a dude that thinks people should treat each other decently.

Oh, I meant too bad that OP doesn't like him. I've followed him for a long time and while I'm not constantly on twitter, I've never seen him post anything that I thought was rude, or an overreaction, or anything like that. He just seems conscious of the issues that are important to him.

The term "SJW" has looped around to where I give an internal cheer every time somebody uses it to describe somebody I look up to or myself.
