(Anonymous) 2014-09-04 02:57 am (UTC)(link)I think there's levels of it. Like, take me for instance, pretty much all of my fandom interaction is anonymous and I don't really output anything or have fandom friends, but I still do low level things like comment.
There's probably a few people out there who don't even comment or interact with fandom, but observe a lot of fandom happenings. A true lurker if you will.
Then there's people who have a close knit group of fandom friends, but don't interact with fandom at large.
I consider those all levels of lurking.

I write fic and meta, comment here (too lazy to log in atm), but don't get to know people on a personal level like PMing or Skype.
