Mistakes like this in general happen, obviously. Nobody's an expert in everything all the time but it's unreal how quickly something like that can pull a person out of a really good story.

My last experience with that was someone referring to Alexander the Great as "conquering for Rome"... which... yeah, no. It was a throw away comment but one that the character involved definitely wouldn't have made that mistake on.

Basically the moral of the story is, check this stuff out before you hit "post". lol

*facepalm*

That reminds me of stupid questions asked in university history classes, like where the Christians being prosecuted at the beginning of Augustus' reign (so around 20 BC) or someone asking which one of Henry VIII's wives was Marie Antoinette T_________T.
