It's the case for a lot of waifus/husbandos I think, yes. Maybe not most though because there's also a big bunch of people who are really into tsundere-characters.

don't have much to say concerning the actual secret but omg boulet!! gotta say his french comics are funnier and more "deep" than his english ones (which makes sense, since you're typically more eloquent in your native language) but shit, he's awesome! even his slice of life stuff is great. and he's a really good artist.
