Actually I rememberd his mother when I was replying! She's a shrink and made friends with Sheldon, right?
The other day I watched the ep where Penny thought about leaving and he made an evening 'just for her' but kept asking why she wanted to leave and she didn't want to talk anout it. I can see how it could be annoying irl.
