Re: Social justice warrior versus...?
(Anonymous) 2014-09-05 12:53 am (UTC)(link)I don't think people need to back up every social justice-related statement with some kind of offline activist effort (i.e., if I want to call out something sexist in an internet discussion, I don't need to first put in an hour of community service at a youth center to have any cred) so the lack of a sizable social justice resume doesn't make someone an SJW. Using other people's oppression and disenfranchisement and the injustices of society as an excuse to push others down and act like they're better than everyone is what makes someone an SJW.
