I think BBT would be a much better show if all the characters had been given the same development over time as Howard. He's come a long way as far as toning down the sleaze and becoming more of an adult, and although I've stopped watching the show regularly because it generally pisses me off, I find Howard the least insufferable by far.

Leonard, on the other hand...I hate him so much, and he's just become worse and worse over the course of the show. He's like the anti-Howard. And it's depressing to me how Penny never develops and is still in the same career rut she was in season one - either give her a break and let her acting dreams go somewhere, or have her choose something else to focus on and succeed in, because right now she's way too dependent on Leonard and he's an ASSHOLE. Worst couple ever. (Sorry, that went way off the topic of your secret, OP.)

Supposedly Penny's getting a big boost career-wise and way less dependent on Leonard next season. I'll believe it when I see it.

That and if they pair Amy off with someone else. That and the Penny/Leonard crap are what finally made me stop watching.
