(Anonymous) 2014-09-05 02:58 am (UTC)(link)Rob Lowe was both main character and I think producer on the show. It got cancelled halfway through the run, but they still had to deliver the thirteen episodes as promised. So, he got together with everyone and said, "Let's make this fun for us."
They built up his character to be a secret serial killer responsible for the murder at the beginning of the show. The last episode is him eating a steak dinner in his home. His mentor confronts him about the murders that have happened around them. Rob Lowe calmly stands up to explain everything away, and then stabs with him with his steak knife.
He then sits down to finish his steak (with the same knife. Same. Knife.), go to his balcony for a look at the night sky, and then jumps to his death.
Tell you don't want to see that.
