While a long, dramatic coat will be hit-and-miss. Regular business-type trench coats and long winter coats or raincoats are okay because people have a reason to wear those, but everything else never seems to work.

I have yet to meet a man (like, random due on the street, not an actor or model or someone who can get advice from a stylist) who pulls off a long, dramatic coat well. Usually they look like they're doing some kind of really sad Highlander cosplay.

I haven't met a man who looks good in a leather coat.

I admit I spend some time googling 'long, dramatic coat'. I'd like to see someone wearing one right now. ^^ Alas, it's all boring sensible clothes around here at the moment.

Not exactly relevant but s3 sucked ass. I was watching Sherlock for cases not romance. Barely any 'clever' and fun stuff.

this has been the consensus of most fans since it aired -- I couldn't even get through the first episode of s3 before I gave up entirely. Such a shame; it could have really been a show worth watching.

I can't say I agree (like most of the Sherlock fanbase I am really attracted to the long coat + scarf + hair combo), but if that's what does it for you that's cool!

But I've also always had a thing for long coats... (Carmen Sandiego, Mal, Neo, Ten...)
