Yes to the death threats. Not sure about the shipping but I don't doubt it.

I've seen a few comments to the effect of "Wouldn't it be cute if West and JJ (or Tom and Maison or Shepherd and West or whichever two) grew up and dated" and suchlike, but I'm not sure if that even qualifies as shipping per se.
