I think most of my female friends just have fairly similar experiences and opinions in that regard as me, so the only times I ever hear weird stuff like that offline is from acquaintances or maybe coworkers, but my coworkers rarely talk about subjects like that. But online it happens all the time and everyone seems to agree about it and I'm wondering if maybe it's a cultural thing because I'm not American and a lot of those opinions/experiences that weird me out are shared by Americans.
