I very much like the idea of tying up my partner, but I have never done so, as I've never had sex.

I think I'd be interested in being the tie-er, but it's never come up.

I like the idea of it but I find it boring IRL from either side.

I like being tied up and the best thing is rope suspension. I love hangning upside down by my feet, heh. My boyfriend has really gotten into the shibari thing,has done shows, started to make his own ropes and he's currently going to a shibari convention in Berlin next week.

What about you, OP?

May I ask what the appeal of rope suspension is?

Handcuffs are superior.

Never been in a relationship, but I'd try tying someone up.

....I like the idea of it in fictional situations and fantasies...

Although something about the idea of a male sub/fantasizing from the POV of a male sub with a female dom.

I also have a weird tendency to make male characters have sub tendencies.

But the weirdest thing is...I'm not even into the idea of being a dom. I relate with the male sub more often than not.

Never done it, but really intrigued by the idea of tying up a partner. It is near the top of my kinks list.

I like being tied up more than I like tying my partner up. The times I've tied him up, I've just wound up getting bored and letting him free. He's...a lot more creative in that department than I am, heh.

I wanna get into shibari, but that might be me trying to deal with memories of being real bad at boondoggle in Girl Scouts.

Funny thing - I get a strange sort of pleasure out of tying people up even though it's not sexual. Like when I was a kid, my brother and I used to practice tying each other up as sort of a "see if you can escape!" sort of game, and I always got this weird thrill when I had him good and trapped.

Wasn't until years later that I found out that some people actually get off on that sort of thing, and now I can enjoy that sort of thing in a different context, but it still doesn't get me off or anything. I just find it very pleasing and ... in a weird way, sort of reassuring.

As for being tied up myself, doesn't do anything for me one way or another.

I have never used ropes specifically, but I did uh "know" a "friend" who enjoyed all sorts of kinky things from corseting to handcuffs to shibari, who I had a brief relationship with.

Tying her up was quite hot to me. But then I'm pretty easy as far as being open to kinks goes, and I tend to enjoy whatever my partner gets off on more than having any super specific kinks of my own.

I have also been unreasonably turned on when platonic friends have tied me up for various reasons, but that has never translated into the bedroom for me. Yet.

It's not for me.

Never done either and while I like to read about it, I'm not sure if I would try it. More than likely that kind of thing would just freak me out.

Tying him up. I'll let him do it to me, but I don't get nearly as much out of it as when I tie (or handcuff) him up.

Don't care much about tying someone up, but I definitely enjoy being held down, handcuffed, and/or tied up with scarves (haven't been able to try rope, yet, but I think I'll like it if/when I get around to it).

I mostly like the idea of other people tying other people up.

Used to somewhat like being restricted myself and did it a little, but couldn't do it now even if I wanted to for physical reasons.

Like the idea of tying someone else up but not the idea of having to be the responsible one in charge of a scene, so nope.

So mostly I'll stick to enjoying it when it's about fictional characters or fantasy characters in my head, or occasionally watching other people's IRL scenes.

But I do sometimes enjoy it in fanfiction, both reading and writing it.

No, no no. No. I thought I would because I liked reading about, and then when i tried it, being tied up made me feel horrifically powerless and awful. :(

never done it. doesn't sound too appealing. if I tried it, I would definitely want to be the tier, not the tie-ee. but it's not high on the list of "sexual things I might one day like to try".
