We've operated on the solid-flushing-only method on-and-off for most of my life. We actually never discussed menstrual flushing, but as I never see any I always flush mine too. Unless it's only a drop or two, like from at the end of a period.

Same here. Poop, we flush no matter what. Pee alone, we rarely flush. My rule of thumb is that if, after a minute or two, I can't really tell there's blood in the toilet/the color hasn't changed that much, I'll leave it. If it turns darker than 'light orange', then I'll flush it.
