Little things you could kick yourself over.

So my boyfriend made me and himself a nice toasted ham and cheese sandwich and me not thinking much about it told him it was really sweet of him to make it but that I wasn't in the mood for a sandwich. He joked about it and ended up eating both sandwiches, but I feel like a jerk in retrospect. I was craving some leftover Indian curry and ended up eating that, but I should have just ignored my food cravings and accepted his sandwich. He isn't the best cook, but he tries, and it was really sweet of him to make lunch for me. It's not like he does this everyday. Just ugh. I could kick myself right now.

It doesn't sound as if he was upset by it, so I don't think you need to worry. You wanted to eat something else and that's fine, it sounds like you turned down his sandwich in a reasonable way.

It's okay. Everyone does something thoughtless sometimes. The best thing to do is TELL your boyfriend how you feel. "I've been feeling like a jerk about turning down that sandwich after you went to the trouble of making me one. I really do appreciate the gesture, even if I didn't express that via eating it. No hard feelings?"

this! if you feel bad, apologize. and for something so small, it shouldn't go beyond a simple apology - don't dwell on it. :)

I read this post in an posh English accent and it was adorable.

(It was the "toasted ham and cheese sandwich" that made me think of it.)

It probably isn't worth dwelling over (And it sounds like he was okay with it), but I don't think you were extremely rude or anything. Sometimes you just aren't in the mood for certain foods. (I've def ate things I wasn't in the mood for, but just tell him you feel bad about it if it's bothering you that much.)

I'm not one to talk though, as I have anxiety and tend to obsess over little mistakes or moments. (Sometimes days, weeks, or even years later. I'll randomly think, “Wow, that was awkward of me, what could I have done differently?”. It happened in high school, self, let it go.)

Well, if you're feeling really guilty about it, you could do something nice for him, something that lets him know you appreciate having him with you. Maybe buy him something he really wants but has bought for some reason, or prepare his favorite meal unexpectedly or some other thing you think he'll like.
