Heed warnings. Not About Superheroes (A Private Little War),Better Living Through Pizza, To The Bone are my favs. :D

Gen
Unsustainable When Steve is forced to participate in a dangerous experiment, the consequences prove devastating. Driven by guilt and doubt, Bruce puts everything on the line to save Steve from becoming the monster within before the Avengers are forced to take down their own captain.

Battle Fatigue Steve thought he was doing okay. Things weren't going great, but they were fine, manageable even, and then suddenly they weren't. [Says pairing but it is more past pairing]
Job Description Steve is injured. Tony helps clean him up. They have a heart-to-heart in an empty lab.

Familiar Poison Steve becomes incredibly sick after being exposed to an unknown biological agent and the team has to help him through it. [Has pairings but I think they are friendship]

Four Dollar Memory The tale of the volunteer rat-catcher and Brooklyn's very own four dollar kid. [not exactly super whump]

Under My Skin “He's lucky – to have the serum, to have you all.” Tony wasn't sure about that first part.
When one faced death and destruction every day on the job, there were many advantages to having a healing factor...and a great many disadvantages as well.

Walking Wounded In the aftermath of the battle against the Chitauri, Steve's doing just fine. Until he's not.
Fortunately, Thor is a perfect mother-hen, Tony makes decent back-up, JARVIS is a genius, and Soap Operas are life-changing.

Tunnel Steve is trapped underground after a building collapses on top of the team; he struggles to escape, knowing the others are dead.

The Scientific Method “I am not experimenting on Rogers, you wretched bastard,” Howard snarled back. “He's a good man, a soldier, not a lab rat.”
“The man volunteered to be part of an experimental procedure, Stark, so in that sense he already is a lab rat.”

Secure Your Own Oxygen Mask (Before Assisting Others) Steve keeps going, because they need him. Being Captain America - having the serum - is a responsibility and a privilege he takes seriously, and he won't waste it by sitting around resting in the middle of a crisis.
But then the work is over, and the original victims of the crisis aren't the only ones needing looking after

Stages of Recovery Steve must go through the stage of grief before he can recover. But there is someone there to help him in the end.

Sinking Like Stone Steve has never been allowed to break. But tonight, on the moonlit, empty deck of the helicarrier, he just…does.

To The Bone Five times Steve worried about the Avengers and one time they worried about him.

Better Living Through Pizza Steve takes some time off from soldiering and Avengering to get his head on straight, and Clint is assigned to keep an eye on him, because apparently SHIELD believes in the blind leading the blind. Steve really needs a hobby, since modern television shows baffle him, but Clint keeps bringing him DVDs and pizza.

Unethical Experimentation Steve agrees to experimentation in hopes of recreating the super serum but the longer the experiments go on, the more the scientists forget that Steve's a human being, and things escalate. Tony gets wind of what happens and goes to find Steve.

Selective Service The serum's given Steve a lot, but it hasn't taken anything away from him. Not even the things he never wanted in the first place.

Oubliette Steve is awake, in the ice.

Hunger He’s always been hungry. It’s the only life he’s known.

Romance
Trading Assets [Bucky/Steve] SHIELD is fighting one of its first battles as a newly-reformed organization, when Captain America is taken hostage.

brooklyn born and bred [Bucky/Steve] When Steve comes back to Brooklyn, he leaves his old life in Washington and creates another. His new apartment is bare, but the air outside still curls into his lungs the same. This, he knows, is not home. Not yet.

Drowning in the memories [Bucky/Steve] 5 times the Avengers were oblivious to Steve’s aversion to water and the one time they finally got it.

The Best of You Bucky had been on a covert mission when he got the call.
They told him that Steve has been compromised.

It's Only Half Past (The Point of Oblivion) [Steve/Tony] Captain America is more than a man - he is a hero, he is an ideal, he is pure muscle held together by patriotism and moral fibre... And not even Captain America can fight it when his own brain turns against him.

Collide [Steve/Thor] During their third mission, Steve is caught under a collapsed building and is severely wounded. Thor is the first to locate them and stays with him consistently throughout his recovery. As their friendship deepens, both struggle with admitting their feelings to each other.

many names in history, none of them are ours [Steve/Tony] Steve's not sure if he'll ever understand Tony Stark, but it's good, living here. If he still wakes up sometimes convinced this was all a dream, well, it's better than it was before, and that's something, isn't it?
The Avengers live in a world that both glorifies and fears them, but they know each other now behind the scenes.

Homefront [Steve/Tony] Steve Rogers is a capable leader, a kind and cheerful man, a good friend, a strong role model, and a loyal soldier. He's also teetering on the edge of suicide.

To Break a Dream [Steve/Tony] Steve is kidnapped and tortured to prove a point to the American people at large. Warning: Graphic depictions of multiple kinds of torture.

The Family I Never Asked For [Howard/Steve, past] Captain America always there in the Stark household when Tony was growing up. For Tony, he was always the annoying older brother that his father compared him to. In the wake of the Chitauri invasion, Steve sheds more light on the situation than Tony ever really wanted. Tony is forced to confront the fact that Howard and Steve had been in a relationship, loved each other even, and he doesn't know how to deal; Steve's been thrown into a future where his lover is dead and accidentally left him a son, and everyone keeps walking on eggshells… when it comes to the dame he'd only kissed once, but not the man he gave his heart to.

They're Blue For You [Bucky/Steve] When Bucky's memory starts returning, Steve is advised to keep his distance in order to protect Bucky from people who might think Steve's judgement is compromised if they knew how they used to be. Natasha picks up the slack in helping Bucky adjust, which Steve both appreciates and tortures himself over. Bucky is confused and worried, but doesn't know how to get through to Steve. Thankfully, one can always rely on Tony Stark to put his foot in his mouth in ways that eventually turn out for the best.
Or, the one where Steve hurts himself unnecessarily to protect Bucky from shadowy government types, gets super jealous of Natasha, Clint plays a deeply grumpy Cupid, and Bucky eventually puts an end to all this tomfoolery by bludgeoning all opposition with the brute force of his personality.

Morpheus Bound [Steve/Tony] Steve slept for 70 years, what would happen if he couldn’t sleep again.

Not About Superheroes (A Private Little War) [Steve/Tony] In less than a year, Steve has been brought back from the dead, adapted to a whole new world, plunged right back into battle again, and moved in with a bunch of superheroes. He's handling everything remarkably well. Except when he's not.

silhouette, step into the streetlight [Bucky/Steve] Between the two of them, Bucky's not the only one with ghosts.
All Bucky can think, holding on to Steve the way he's always done, in one way or another, the ugly truth of something creeping into his awareness, is 'who the fuck dared not love him?'
