It's a fun show and I actually enjoy it a lot, but it really helps if you don't think of it as an adaptation of the comics. It'll just hurt your brain. They take a lot of liberties (though I'm guessing you already expect this since it's, well, a CW show)

Yeah, I'm well aware. For me it's all a matter of can I even like an Ollie Queen at all to begin with? Jeff Lemire's Ollie has given me a positive answer, so I'm giving Arrow Ollie a chance.

ngl, he's a dick a lot of the time (fortunately, other characters will often call him out on this and it's generally clear that the audience is meant to think he's a dick rather than the writers just not realizing he's coming across that way), but he's also frequently shown to genuinely care about his friends/family and his city so...maybe?
