(Anonymous) 2014-09-07 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)there's also the fact that this narrative comes up way more often in (fictional?) marriages. often it's in a sexist or at least annoying "well they Have to tolerate each other for (sexual, social, gain in comfort)" way.
unlikely friendships just have less "self-interest" insofar. the loyality I like about it is easier to support
