In the present crisis, they've targeted their attacks indiscriminately, leading to large civilian deaths and a general humanitarian crisis in Gaza, with no regard for conditions there.

This is almost all factually incorrect.

Israeli attacks have been the exact opposite of indiscriminate. They're very targeted, for specific reasons (to destroy rocket launching sites, for the most part).

There have been large civilian casualties, but that is mostly because Hamas would command their people to stay put despite warnings (who else tells people when and where they will attack?). There is always somewhere to go, but it's not clear whether Hamas gives their people any choice in the matter. Because they want them to die, so the numbers look awful and everyone says things like Israel kills children indiscriminately, those monsters. But the fact is Israel goes far out of its way to prevent civilian deaths. I don't think any army on earth shows such restraint and respect for a populace whose leaders are hellbent on their destruction.

And the Israeli population has PLENTY of regard for the conditions there. Israelis, by and large, are extremely saddened by the death of children especially. All children. And where do you think most of the aid comes from? When Hamas lets it in.

DA

I will preface this by saying I saw a lot of reporting from conservative, pro-Israel news channels, so maybe I missed something

But they targeted schools, hospitals, media stations. I heard nothing about the media and hospital having rocket launchers - only the school reportedly (by Israel, Palestinians said otherwise) had rockets. Hospitals and schools are not legitimate targets. Especially when one side's firepower and defenses greatly outweigh the other's.

The UN run schools and shelters were hit - reportedly for rocket storage. Israel *knew* where the Un schools/shelters were, they were told over and over again. If they truly believed that there were rockets there, then they should have gone through the UN. Israel also blatantly fucking lied about one bombing where it said first that it was from a Hamas rocket that backfired and then said it was a mortar that landed in an empty courtyard, which is bullshit because if it was an empty courtyard, how did those people die? And how come journalists on the ground reported that it clearly looked like it had been hit by a bomb?

And they did flee! They fled to UNITED NATIONS SHELTERS/CAMPS AND THOSE WERE HIT TOO.

Considering the vast number of deaths in this conflict are of civilian Palestinians, I'm not so sure that Israel goes "far out of its way" to prevent it.
