Well, write what you want, right? Who cares.

For me, I generally don't like fics that give OCs big roles. Actually, the only time I can tolerate it (aside from it having to be written well, of course) is when I don't care that much about the canon characters or pairings to begin with? Because most of the time, I read fic for the characters in different settings/"what if" situations, not for some brand new novel with brand new characters -- I mean, that almost defeats the purpose of fanfiction in the first place.

But when it's characters I feel mostly neutral on from a show I'm not that passionate about, I'm totally cool with OCs because my feelings about new characters won't be much different than that of the canon ones anyway, haha.

Which is kind of irrelevant to your apology, but yeah. My feelings.

Oh yeah

I'm really cool with it when people say that and they acknowledge that it's their personal preference. And honestly yesterday I would have left it if the OP had done that. It was the statement as if it were a fact that really got under my skin.

Though still I took it too far.

and I probably was stupid for starting this.
