You didn't include any of my recs. What's the point of asking for more recs if you just ignore the ones you get? I left mine in the very first post where you asked for recs this month.

Yes, my interest in the book club has died as a result of this. You are absolutely correct. It isn't the first time my recs have been ignored. I think out of five recs I've made over the course of the book club, only one was ever taken notice of and included in the poll. I leave links and a precis of the books as requested and then they're just ignored.

I assumed there was some unspoken limit/criteria that my books weren't meeting, and tried to not be hurt. The first time someone did say that there were too many books and they had to cut some down. But now to have this complaint that there aren't enough recs after my own have been rejected so many times?

Sadly, goodbye book club.

I went and looked back at that post. The limit was one book per month. This was not unspoken; it was mentioned in multiple posts over the course of the past couple of months. diet_poison responded to your post reminding you of this and asking which one you would prefer to rec, and you never replied.

Methinks you purposely looking for reasons to be upset and be turned off.

Anon, did you go back to look at your comments? I got a couple anon rec comments that didn't follow rules that were explicitly stated* in the rec post and I responded as soon as I saw them reminding them of the rules and asking them to re-comment. I want more recs, but there is no point in having guidelines if people don't read/follow them.

Now I'm a bit frustrated because I know you didn't go back to look at the posts where you recced, so I know you're not going to come back and read this, and you're going to leave not even knowing what really happened. :(

*seriously, every post had either this, or a link to a post that did. Where do you get "unspoken rules"? Was that something that happened in the first couple of months? Because I honestly have no idea how the_missing_y handled recs.
