Yeah, I tend to gravitate more towards fandom when I'm in my "lows" - but hey, don't be sad. You're having real life adventures. There will be other times, and other fandoms.

I turned fandom into a book deal, so, in a way, I never have to leave it behind.

Awesome. I don't think I'll be doing the same with my fanfic, but I'd like to be published someday so I'm always chuffed when someone from fandom makes it. Congrats!

I can relate to that, and that's probably why I'm trying to get back into socializing with people on social media to talk about my favorite things, it gives me that 'urge to communicate and relay information' that I need.

I'm glad you're happy, OP! (and I love the picture you chose for your secret).

I'm kind of in the opposite position -- I've been slowly sinking into depression for the past month, and fandom is one of the few things I've managed to keep going. I'm glad for it, because it's helped me keep my head above water, but I wouldn't mind being where you are, either.

I feel you. At the peak of my college years, I was doing great social life wise and studies, but I stopped watching anime as much and fell out of a lot of fandoms. When I 'came back', it was... really lonely. Keep in contact with your fandom friends. :(
