I like that I've finally gained some confidence in myself and that I can now look in the mirror and think "hey I'm actually quite pretty" most of the time.

I also like that I'm a good listener and someone that people feel that they can confide in.

Oh! And that I'm able to cry around other people, silly as it sounds. This has a lot to do with being Miss Stone-face for a long period of time while I was depressed. The fact that I'm now able to cry in front of people (well, really show emotion around people at all) and not feel embarrassed about it is a good sign for me that I'm in a better place, which is obviously something I like.

I fucking rock '50s-style dresses. This is a recent discovery and I've been enjoying how good it makes me feel about myself.

I like my eyes, they're sort of green and almond-shaped - I also like my prominent eyebrows.
I like that I'm relatively tall for a girl.
I like that I have the coping skills needed to travel alone - and I frequently do.
I like that I put effort into keeping friendships alive, even when people age and get different lives.
I like that I'm generally an honest person, even if that will put some people off.
I like my sense of humour, even the self-deprecating bits of it.
I like I'm the sort of person that can blend in in several countries, and in several layers of society. (I'm the sort of person who gets asked for directions on holiday. Repeatedly).

I like that I seem to make people feel at ease, and that they're comfortable coming to me with their problems. There are other things, but that's really the big one.

I'm good at stretching my mind to try to see where other people are coming from. I've managed to take several people who used to think I was just the worst example of a feminazi and get to the point where they regularly ask for my opinion on things because they want to know what I have to say, because I was willing to listen to them and take what could have been a shouting match and turn it into an actual balanced discussion. I feel good about gaining their confidence without backing down from my beliefs (not to say I don't examine my opinions and reevaluate them).

Though at the same time, I have nothing but sympathy for people who don't have the patience for that.

It's nice to know it's appreciated. I go through phases where I keep blurting out all my thoughts and then getting insecure and wishing I had kept quiet. This stuff is a lot easier to talk about with one person I know well even if they disagree with me than in this format, but it's important to me and even if it wasn't, it's really fascinating to me so it's hard to stop myself.

I feel rambly again. I need to sleep but I can't until my anxiety calms down.

I love that headcanon!

And I do try to keep myself open to conversations. I'm just honestly really interested in the way other people think. I'd rather try to understand how a reasonable person could come to a conclusion I disagree with than dismiss everyone who thinks differently.

Physical appearance wise I really like my hands and eyes.

Other things are, I love my creativity, I just wish I was a little better at getting all the ideas I have out of my head.

Also, I'm kinda excited that after about 13 years I think I'm finally getting to the point where I might be able to drive again without having severe nausea, and panic attacks! A friend is going to help me with that, and as soon as we are all sure I won't be a road hazard Mom and Dad are going to get me a car, and then I'm going to look for a job, and everything will be awesome.

I like that (although maybe not wholly true) I tend to just look at myself and tell myself: "You look fabulous today. Go own the world. Show'em it's yours, show'em."

I was getting really skinny for a while but now I'm getting jacked again, which makes me look about 100x better.

The fact that I'm over 30 and in better shape than any 20-something I've ever met who isn't an athlete; I'm a 32-year-old woman who can pass the fitness requirements for 18-21-year-old infantrymen. This never ceases to amaze my GP.
